They’re large, angular, with nice gold detail around the frame, plus they come in a lovely case. But the biggest news? They retail for just $49.90. I love wearing sunglasses that are as large as dinner plates. They cover the big trunks I have under my eyes… plus they make me look so V.I.P.
But woe is me with the cost of some of these designer frames that have a tendency to get lost, sat on or accidentally broken in two by my twin 6-year-olds. This is a great find: Curations sunglasses curated for HSN by Scoop NYC mastermind and co-founder Stefani Greenfield.

Extra, extra! The shoe that seems to be in the most demand around these parts is this “replication” of a $2000 sold out shoe by Balmain. We have seen the original Balmain beauty rocked by Rihanna, Jennifer Connelly and Audrina Patridge (hey, how did she get a pair?). Then Zara designed this $168.00 shoe for all of us who can’t even fathom spending more than $600 for a summer stiletto. Unfortunately they disappeared as quickly as the originals when they were all recalled back to Spain. That means a lot of broken hearts left on this side of the pond.
See more shoes Hollywood is lusting after.
On eBay, fashionistas are losing their s–t over this multi-diamante, studded and pearled sexy rock and roll/good girl gone bad shoe. I have to say I love the Zara version better because the pitch of the shoe and the heel is a little taller. They removed the thong at the toe and went a little sequin happy but who doesn’t love that? Just beware: if Solange or Mariah get their diva feet in these shoes, obsession over!

After five years at the helm of Issey Miyake, Dai Fujiwara stepped down after the Fall ‘11 men’s and women’s collections. The Japanese label announced today who would be stepping into his sizable shoes. (Tim Blanks called Fujiwara’s work for the label “an education…in the gentlest way” and his time at the brand “a pioneering moment in fashion, where thought and deed were united in an inspiringly humanist package.”)
Yoshiyuki Miyamae, a longtime member of the Miyake Design Studio, will take over womenswear. Miyamae (right, with Fujiwara) joined Miyake in 2001, as part of Miyake’s own A-POC Project; since 2006, he has worked under Fujiwara on the IM collections. Miyamae’s first collection will be shown in Paris this October.
The men’s collection will now be known as Issey Miyake Men and designed by a team that, according to the company, combines “young talents and experienced designers and technicians.” The new men’s collection will be shown in Paris this June.
